Program Director - Dr. John Sweet

Dr. John Sweet and his wife, Jo Ann, have been foster parents for nine years and have also been involved in recruiting and training foster parents. For the past twenty years the Sweets have pastored the Green Meadow Church of God in Alcoa, TN. During the last three years, John has worked part-time in partnership with the Smoky Mountain Children's Home to develop a foster care program. He resigned his pastorate in August 2004 and began full-time as the director of foster care on September 1.

John is a graduate of the Church of God Theological Seminary where he received a Doctor of Ministry Degree.
